Meet the Herbalist

Hey, I’m Jess! I believe that learning from and with the Land is something we’re all meant to do. By building reciprocal relationships with Nature and our more-than-human friends, we can open ourselves up to heal ourselves and the planet. Living in the Rockies for over a decade, I’ve been fortunate to dive deeply into this journey as a bioregional and clinical herbalist, farmer/forager, and mushroom grower.

I’ve spent thousands of hours immersed in the study of Herbalism (both clinical and folk) under the guidance of esteemed teachers such as Lisa Ganora, Kat Mackinnon, Tyler Wauters, and Paul Bergner. My path has also included studies in Ayurvedic medicine and medicinal herb farming through Banyan Botanicals. Above all, the Earth has always been my first teacher.

I walk this path with deep gratitude for those who have come before me—teachers, healers, indigenous populations, farmers, and beauty way walkers—who generously passed down their knowledge and traditions. Their wisdom roots my practice.

Today, I continue learning in the field as an experimental herb farmer, working alongside Catherine Hunziker and deepening my relationship with the living world.

Through Nature Thyme Botanicals, I blend wildcrafted and homegrown medicinal extracts, microdose protocols, and personalized herbalism. I trust that life itself can be medicine, ancestral wisdom lives within us all, and the Earth has endless teachings for those who listen.
